Institute of Nuclear Energy and Nuclear Technology

Introduction

The Institute of Nuclear Energy and Nuclear Technology, School of Nuclear Science and Technology, Lanzhou University, was established in 2015. Its director is Academician Xia Jiawen(夏佳文) and Its standing vice-director is Professor Li Gongping(李公平). The Institute has four laboratories: ion source and special power supply laboratory, ray imaging laboratory, circuit design and analog calculation laboratory and nuclear electronic technology laboratory. There are eight full-time teachers, one post-doctoral student, nine doctoral students and twenty-seven postgraduate students.

Professor Zhu Guangya(朱光亚) was appointed to be responsible for the preparations of nuclear physics and radiochemistry majors in Peking University and Lanzhou University in 1955. Lanzhou University has been engaged in the personnel training and the scientific research of nuclear technology since 1955.It has made outstanding contributions to the National Nuclear Science and technology cause.

The School of Nuclear Science and Technology of Lanzhou University has been established in February 2006.There are two science majors, nuclear physics and radiochemistry. The nuclear physics is a national key discipline and the radiochemistry is the special subject of the National Natural Science Foundation. Three engineering majors, Nuclear Engineering and Nuclear Technology, Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety, Nuclear Chemical Industry and Nuclear Fuel Engineering, has been set up in 2007.

In order to strength the construction of nuclear engineering and technology of the special specialty in Ministry of Education. The construction of surgery, the Institute of Nuclear Energy and Nuclear Technology has been established on December 21, 2015.

The Nuclear Science and Technology of Lanzhou University was approved as the first-level discipline in 2017. The Nuclear Technology and Application, the second-level discipline of the Nuclear Science and Technology, is set up in the Institute of Nuclear Energy and Nuclear Technology.

In order to meet the needs of the rapid development of the national nuclear industry demand for talents, the Institute of Nuclear Energy and Nuclear Technology School of Nuclear Science and Technology, Lanzhou University, is committed to fostering the Nuclear Engineering and Nuclear Technology professionals with solid professional knowledge and professional skills.
