On March 29th, in order to further promote the comprehensive cooperation between the School of Nuclear Science and Technology of Lanzhou University and CNNC Lanzhou Uranium Enrichment co., LTD., Party Secretary Yang Yi of the School of Nuclear Science and Technology and some teachers, about 20 representatives went to CNNC Lanzhou Uranium Enrichment co., LTD., to investigate and discuss relevant cooperation matters. Bian Hai, deputy general manager of CNNC Lanzhou Uranium Enrichment co. LTD., Wang Xuemin, deputy chief engineer, and some officers and leaders of main workshops also attended the activity.

    Representatives of both sides visited the patriotic education hall and some workshops of Lanzhou Uranium Company together and had an in-depth understanding of the history, development and status quo of Lanzhou Uranium Company.

    Later, a symposium was held in the conference room of Lanzhou Uranium Company Guest Hotel, presided over by Liu Zhonghua, deputy director of the production technology department of CNNC Lanzhou Uranium Enrichment co., LTD. Bian Hai in his speech introduced the basic situation of Lanzhou Uranium Company from a brief history of the development of it and its outstanding contributions in the national nuclear development, etc., hope that both sides could base on the national major strategic demand and its own development needs, to conduct scientific research, technology development, personnel training, joint cooperation and exchange in aspects of the laboratory construction together, promote the development of both sides.

    Yang Yi made a detailed introduction on the history, disciplines and majors of the School and its achievements in recent years. He said that, the cooperation between the School of Nuclear Science and Technology of Lanzhou University and CNNC Lanzhou Uranium Enrichment co., LTD., not only originated with long history, but also based on real demands, furthermore, it also has great significance for the  discipiline development and talents cultivation of the college, he hope that the both sides could grasp the prospective development trend in the future cooperation, focus on scientific frontier and major national demand, further giving full play to the advantages of both sides on the basis of the existing cooperation.

    At the meeting, Professor Li Yuhong and six other teachers introduced the basic situation and scientific research direction of each research institute of the School in detail. Participants from both sides held extensive and in-depth discussions on how to better promote scientific research cooperation.

    The both sides agreed to further innovate the working system and mechanism, deepen cooperation through regular communication and implementation of the framework agreement, seek common ground while shelving differences, seek win-win cooperation and jointly serve the major needs of the country.
